Man, I really fell off the face of the earth! I've been busy studying, and I'm even taking a summer course right now. I've considered picking up sims again, but it's such a time consuming hobby for me. Last night I actually considered selling my games, because I don't really see myself playing again. For now I have other hobbies like knitting and playing with my DS.

I miss the community, though. I wish I'd kept up with everyone but I partly didn't have time and partly didn't want to tempt myself to play! (You all make the game look soo fun!) I just wanted to say hello, I haven't completely forgotten you guys. I'm sorry that I've missed out on your stories and photos :(

Not sure when I'll get around the playing with these studies taking up my time. I'm sure I'll need to take a mental break eventually. I mean, I'm taking one now, sitting here with a cup of tea - but I can't justify starting the game until I've gotten more work done!

I think I figured out what caused the problem I was grumbling about the other day. It seems as though the sims stick around their old apartments if you locked their doors. I usually keep them locked so neighbors can't visit or sometimes so pets stay inside. It appears that as long as their door is unlocked they won't stick around the building after they've moved out.

I'm sort of irritated about moving my sims out of their apartments. Even if I make sure they're not outside during the gameplay of their neighbors, they still want to stick around the apartment. It helps a tiny bit to move someone new into their place, but they keep coming back to the lot like they live there and just sit in the park getting cold. I really like having apartments, but it's not any fun if I have to move everyone out and back in to avoid stupid programming. Any tips or grumbling of your own is welcome :P

Has anyone used Monique's Hacked Computer? I was considering trying this updated version. I mostly want to use it if there's an ability to loan money from a bank. I haven't used a money cheat in a long time, because it's more fun to earn the money and not always afford everything. However, I'm getting impatient and want some of my sims to move into homes that they can't really afford ;) I considered just using the money cheat for the move, but it would be cool if they could take a loan and then owed money, because most of them will earn that money soon enough, and I'd rather some of the children grow up in a house while their parents work. My sims really should've planned their finances before they had babies, hehe.
